Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation program, better known as SVEEP, is the flagship program of the Election Commission of India for voter education, spreading voter awareness and promoting voter literacy in India. We have been working towards preparing India’s electors and equipping them with basic knowledge related to the electoral process.

SVEEP’s primary goal is to build a truly participative democracy in India by encouraging all eligible citizens to vote and make an informed decision during the elections. The programme is based on multiple general as well as targeted interventions which are designed according to thesocio-economic, cultural and demographic profile of the state as well as the history of electoral participation in previous rounds of elections and learning thereof.

GNSPSC is regularly organizing various activity and competitions for voter awareness.Some of activities are Matdata songs, Nukkad Natak, posters, Slogans etc. The College organised various Voter Awareness Campaigns under the guidance SVEEP Team unit with the aim to increase voter percentage in the state and also to make the young voters aware of their basic right plus duty. First time Voters were shown step by step how to use the E.V.M (Electronic Voting Machine). Students enthusiastically participated in generating awareness of the public in exercising their vote through rallies and nukkad nataks. Our Principal, regularly motivates the students to always exercise their right to vote in various local and national elections. The students actively participated in the campaign. Even the first-time voters, they spread awareness about the right to vote and about the importance of electronic voting machine procedure.

• To creating awareness among the people/public/voter regarding the importance of the three tier local electoral system
• To enhance people’s participation in the voting system
• To create awareness to select effective people centric leaders
• To ensure smooth implementation/execution of our planned activities
• To get pre-election commitment from contesting candidates
